Sessions are typically 60 minutes.

Typically, we meet weekly, on a consistent basis, taking into account holidays, vacations, and illness, of course. During times of crisis I am always available to provide additional support by adding session(s) per week, as necessary.

Why therapy and why now? I will ask you open-ended questions, while leaning on my experience and professional intuition to offer my interpretations and reflections.
Throughout the hour I will share my initial impressions with you, and will ask you how you are feeling in the room, in your body, with me. At the end of the hour we will reflect on our time together, and can schedule another session if you would like to continue.

Covid changed the landscape for traditional in-person therapy. Previously, meeting in person was the only meaningful option. That is how I learned my craft, person to person, face to face. But in this ever changing world, we must be adaptable and I have successfully made Zoom (and FaceTime) sessions beneficial and effective ways to practice therapy.
So, yes, I provide online sessions for my clients who prefer the convenience of telehealth and/or are unable to visit my office in Santa Monica.

I do not accept insurance. I am, however, happy to generate regular invoices, “superbills,” for you to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.
In order to be reimbursed a diagnosis is necessary (i.e., Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Major Depressive Disorder.) I will provide whatever assistance I can in helping you receive the benefits to which you are entitled, however you are solely responsible for submitting the invoices for reimbursement.
If you have a health insurance policy with mental health benefits, it will often provide reimbursement for out-of-network providers like myself (licensed Marriage and Family Therapists in the state of California.)

My fee for each psychotherapy session is $250 per 60 minute individual or couple session.
Payment is kindly requested at the end of every session (payable by Venmo or Zelle.) Once an appointment hour is scheduled and confirmed, you are responsible for the full fee unless you provide 24 hours advance notice of cancellation.
I may extend grace for unexpected illness or emergencies, at my discretion.
